The President
Damian Duff – MPDI President 2017 -2021
Our National President Mr Damian Duff was elected President in December 2017 and his presidency will run until the end of 2021. Damian Duff is the Managing Director of Dundalk based company; Seamus Duff & Sons (Ireland) Ltd.
He stated that MPDI represents painters and decorators of all sizes operating in the Republic of Ireland and a strong history of promoting professionalism and excellence. Mr Duff is very proud to become the first President from Dundalk and County Louth and currently is the only MPDI member from the County. He hopes to encourage young people to enter the painting and decorating apprenticeship and plans a number of new initiatives for members under his presidency, such as advertising services to a broader base and supplier led initiatives.
The Council
The Management of the Master Painters and Decorators of Ireland is vested in a Council elected at the Annual General Meeting and has the power to act on behalf of the Association. A representative of any current member is eligible for election to the Council. The current Council has six dedicated members from the Painting and Decorating trade who decide on initiatives for all its members with the opportunity for up to twelve members on the committee.
